Most of these awards were given specifically for Steven’s composition. Others are in recognition of the high quality of productions which feature his music.

Twice finalist in the prestigious Vivian Ellis Prize for young writers for the musical stage, whose judges included Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Time Rice and Don Black. 

Cheltenham the Irish Favourite: Sony Radio Academy Award (best feature) – on which he both wrote the music and co-produced the programme.

David Attenborough’s Life of Birds (BBC1): nominated (with co-composer Ian Butcher) for an Ivor Novello Award for ‘Best TV Music’.

The Invincible Wolf (Green Umbrella): Merit Award for ‘Use of Music’, International Wildlife Film Festival, Missoula, Montana.

Nature Tech (Burning Gold Productions): News and Documentary Emmy Award 2008 for the ‘Magic of Motion’. Steven was one of the team
