TV viewers around the world have heard Steven’s scores for BBC wildlife programmes – from David Attenborough’s Life of Birds (BBC1), nominated for an Ivor Novello Award, to BBC2’s award-winning Reindeer Girls. A prolific writer of TV documentary music, Steven has written for at least 150 programmes to date.
Earthflight (BBC1): Steven scored this documentary in collaboration with composer Will Gregory of indie band Goldfrapp. The ground-breaking series was broadcast in 2012.
Dragons and Damsels (Terra Mater Factual Studios): Steven scored this beautiful documentary narrated by David Attenborough.
You Planet & Big Bugs (Terra Mater Factual Studios): 2012 saw Steven’s first foray in 3D TV, scoring these two high-end docs for the Vienna based wing of Red Bull Media.
